Aberdaron is located on the end of the Llyn Peninsula and is a wonderful base for a holiday in North Wales. It has a large, mile long, blue flag beach and is a popular spot for watersports as well as walking and cycling (see our suggested walks to Bardsey Island and Mynydd Mawr). The town lies within a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Aberdaron is full of history and was a final stopping point for pilgrims making their way to Bardsey Island. They were able to claim a free meal from Y Gegin Fawr (the big kitchen) before completing the final stage of thier journey. Today this is one of several cafes in the town.
The National Trust site Porth y Swnt is located in the village and hosts displays and exhibits on the local area. There's also a car park on the site which any visitors to the town may use for a small fee.
