View the virtual tour

Penlan is a fabulous multi-level cottage, carefully renovated to take advantage of the idyllic countryside setting with stunning picture windows looking out from the main living area over the garden and next-door field to the surrounding woodland. The cottage has a wonderful countryside feel, yet it is less than a mile from the local beach, eight miles from Caernarfon town and a short drive to the foot of Yr Wyddfa (Mt. Snowdon) to the north.
You enter the cottage via the large, welcoming kitchen, which has everything you need to make the most of your self-catering holiday. An electric range-style cooker with induction hob, a fridge freezer with ice maker and filtered water, air fryer, a dishwasher and the usual kettle toaster and microwave. There is also a utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer. Steps lead down from the beautiful kitchen to the living area. The living space is split into two sections. The main lounge diner has a large dining table, which easily seats six, and a comfortable suite positioned to take advantage of the view and cosy log burner. The second section is a smaller snug area where you can snuggle up and watch your favourite TV programmes on the 48" smart TV screen (please note due to the property location, the TV signal is via the internet only) There is a highspeed internet connection (average 95Mbps). Off the lounge is a full bathroom (bath with separate shower, WC and washbasin) and delightful double bedroom. The other two beautiful bedrooms are on the first floor, both double rooms with ensuite shower facilities, The master bedroom is in the eaves of the house and has some restricted headroom, but the velux balcony window with distant sea views (look carefully), and dressing room make up for the angled ceiling.

There is parking for up to four vehicles and an EV charge point for guest use (a type 2 Easee charger) A maximum of two well behaved dogs are welcome at the property, but please be aware livestock is occasionally in the adjoining field. The large garden is perfect for relaxing and enjoying the peaceful country ambiance.

Location

Penlan is a fantastic cottage, in an idyllic countryside setting, you can even hear the nearby stream rushing by on it's last journey to the sea and the beach at Pontllyfni. The Llyn peninsula lies on your doorstep with enough history culture, a rather impressive golf course and famous beachside pub to keep you coming back again and again. Then you are just a few minutes drive from Caernarfon with its impressive castle, unique local colour and the start of the Welsh Highland Railway. Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) is also just a short drive away through the Nantlle valley home of the Pant Du vinyard, well worth a visit for a tour, wine trasting or just for a snack at the cafe on your way back to the cottage for a relaxing evening infront of the fire.

Attraction Image Dinas Dinlle Beach

If you take the time to visit the wonderful walled city of Caernarfon and its magnificent castle, then the beautiful beach of Dinas Dinlle is just a short journey away.
